Directions: America is faced with many difficult issues that challenge the American people. Your job is to identify an issue, research the problem and formulate a possible solution. The task as listed below outlines the requirements and processes you will need to follow to successfully complete this project.
You will be required to choose a topic related to government. You will need to identify and explain the current issues, find evidence to support your thesis, and offer a possible solution.
All topics MUST be cleared with your teacher before beginning your research.
You will be required to teach the class for 20 minutes on your chosen topic.
You must write a 3-5 page paper on your topic which identifies and explains the current issues, find evidence to support the thesis, and offer a possible solution to the problem. The paper will be double spaced, the text will be 12 points using Times New Roman font. Points will be deducted for any paper less than 3 full pages.
You will submit a copy of your report to Turnitin.com by the day of your presentation. See your handout for the password and ID.
You may work with a partner or by yourself.
Your partnership will maintain a log of hours, of individual work as well as group work.
A partner that does not "pull their own weight" will be penalized individually, rather than penalizing the entire group and project.
